Our story
For more than 135 years, St. Michael and All Angels has stood in Polwatte as a place of prayer, Anglican witness, and enduring beauty. Designed by Hubert Walker, the church has long been cherished for its architecture, reverent worship, and the sense of peace it offers to all who enter.
St. Michael’s is more than a landmark. It is a living parish church where people gather across languages and generations for worship, learning, fellowship, and service. Rooted in the Anglican tradition, we seek to honour God through the beauty of holiness, to welcome all with grace, and to serve the wider community with compassion and hope.
